The weekend was successful for artists this weekend as models walked the runway at Theatre Junction Grand on Thursday night at “Fabricated” and on Saturday at the UofC campus opened its walkways for “Parksale” which displayed the works of over 50 Calgary vendors.

The second ever Fabricated was the best Calgary Fashion Show I have seen. The venue itself creating a lavish feeling with the chandeliers and old style architecture. Inside the lounge the DJ accompanied by live Sax set a classy metropolitan mood and prepared the guests for the very shiek interior stage, dimly lit with only the White Runway on spotlight surrounded by the black background.

For an outsider who has not been apart of the fashion community in Calgary for long, it was an AWESOME event and definitely worth the price of the evening. Would I go again and recommend it? Of course I would!

Parksale set in the center of the U of C campus displayed more than 50 vendors and what a perfect day to do it! Each booth set along the edges of pathways created a worthwhile distraction for all the new U of C students and those individuals looking to spend some time in the Sun. The vendors included anything from Visual Art to Fashion and some of Calgary’s finest were on display.
