There was something said at yesterday afternoons Entrepreneur Workshop presented by This Great City that certainly is evident in Brantford. Joshua Wall, one of the presenters described his experience with Brantford businesses and how willingly collaborative they are with each other. This is unique! Friendship in business where friendship and not fierce competition is the operating system is the environment that not only exists to a significant degree, but is also necessary for holistic success.
If you missed the event yesterday then you missed an informative first -such-event for This Great City. Expecting ten people and having 16 present at the workshop showed us that the desire for information and opportunities for Brantford entrepreneurs is important.
The workshop started at 4pm and ended at 5pm at the Piston Broke on Dalhousie Street in downtown Brantford. Then at 5pm, the doors opened for Simply Networking, our business networking event.
Simply Networking has been attracting businesses to meet and network for over 4 years and has been held in Calgary, AB, Toronto, ON, Richmond Hill and Brantford.
A special thanks to the presenters, Avery Kloss of Shop Brantford, Fausto Victorio of Smart Grocer Inc., Joshua Wall of BScene Magazine and myself Ivan Sutton of Metro Interactive Agency Inc.
